Learn a Little About Camelot Campground

Our 150 acre campground in Rock Island, Illinois is a Quad Cities favorite.

Family Owned & Operated

Camelot Campground has been owned and operated by the Downing family for over two decades. What began as a quiet campground with very few amenities has grown to serve over 15,000 visitors from all over the globe each year.

As a family, the Downings have always loved camping, hiking, and spending time together outdoors and now we delight in providing a space for guests to make new and lasting camping memories together. We each have our favorite area of the park and love watching others enjoy them, too.

John (Dad) with his side-kick Bella, the camp canine, savor the wide open spaces, shade trees, and chatting with campers. Carole (Mom) enjoys reading and playing sudoku lakeside, happy to watch and listen to the birds and their songs. Alison (Daughter) and her family can be found fishing, giggling on the jump pad, and splashing in the pool while Cari (Daughter) prefers a quiet walk or peaceful boat ride when she’s in town.

Variety of Camp Sites

Each of us enjoys camping in different ways, too and we have made sure that no matter your preference, we have a site to match! From deluxe cabins to lakeside tent sites, premium rv sites, and new-to-camping cabins, we have sites that are close to everything for active families and sites that are more secluded for those looking to unplug for the weekend.

We love serving our community of campers and take great pride in the business we continue to grow and improve. Stop by, say hi, and fall in love with nature right down the road from everything the vibrant Quad Cities have to offer.
